Hey Guys,

I have the oil level warning going off everytime I start the car. I previously smashed sump and have refitted sump without sensor because you get more clearance. There are a few audi TT guys doing this. However trying to recode the cluster through VCDS fails even if I have the SKC login code.

I have to change the soft coding from 02744 with 02704 or 02734 to remove this.

I have attached a dump of the bin file I read from the cluster.

Recoding cluster fails ?

Are you using Rosstech`s VCDS or a clone ?

I can recode the last digit only. Will not allow me to recode to remove oil level sensor warning.

Clone device.

Was thinking if soft coding is in the cluster firmware could change by accessing bin and reprogram to cluster.

I had a similar issue temporarily while I was using an oil pan with no sensor hole. I ended up carefully filling the sensor with oil and sealing the sensor with permatex. I kept the sensor between the battery and headlight plugged in. Worked fine for a few thousand miles.

Do you mean through the little pint size hole at tip of sensor?

Presumably you could achieve the same effect with a resistor?

I don't think anyone has been successful have read alot of posts. The tried way to recode cluster and filling sensor with oil.
