I have an 018CJ ecu here and have a nice .xdf that I organized for the 018CB 003 software. Can I just flash the ecu with CB and move on, or do I have to retain the 018CJ base?

Compare the bootroms bruh. If they match, you may cross flash.

Are you getting this from me7check? Are there ways to compare the code in the beginning of the flash?

The output of me7check is very useful. You can see the bootrom, as well as the damos that matches the file.

Good to know. I should start using it more often.

-> Bootrom Version = embedded in CPU, asume 05.12/05.32
-> EPK = 40/1/ME7.1/3/6028.01//22Q/Dst01o/140303//
-> Contents of ECUID data table:
   - '0261208313'         (SSECUHN)
   - '1037367731'         (SSECUSN)
   - '3B0907551DB '       (VAG part number)
   - '0010'               (VAG sw number)
   - '2.8L V6/5V      '   (engine id)
-> Contents of ECUID data table:
   - 'HW_MAN004'

What line/values refer to what damos to use?
