Timing not following
« on: March 07, 2015, 05:35:37 PM »
What is the map/correction factor name for timing vs iat? if there is one I've checked a few damos and cannot find anything around the timing maps
In my logs and my timing actual isn't following the kfzw/kfzw2 its about 5degrees off in places.
No knock cf's when this happens.
Iat's are going high tho 50-60celsius @6000rpm
Torque intervention turned off or on makes no difference, but found with torque intervention off I had less knock cf's when abusing the car but slightly more spikey boost control.
Throttle is staying @100 during the run
Car does have an over-reading maf sensor as there's no way this 1.8t ko3 is pulling 210g/s when its boosting 1.3bar, This will be changed soon so hopefully this is the problem. But i'm wondering if i'm missing something else?

If you mean that actuall in the logs is a bit higher than the values you have in kfzw/2 ??
It Is bc kfzw/2 is trying too come up too timing optimal kfzwop/2.

No. Please don't present wild guesses as conclusive answers

Logs are just poor vcds ones tbh nyet
Timing was much lower than kfzw, only reason I could see was iat its over 40-50deg c and the maf over reads
kftarx I did modify to counter the heat from the amount of load on long pulls at high rpm by dropping it down. but can this affect the timing aswell? Even when torque monitoring is off?
Maybe just a bad maf but thought I'd check

You won't be able to fix anything w/o proper logs.

I doubt torque monitoring is "off"

Any updates on this, Fordy? I'm having a similar issue.

There should be a requirement to post logs.
This thread is just going round in circles.
