There'd a lot on here about APR ecus, you may find Google better to search with than the forum search function. I've never got my hands on an APR ecu, but many have a physical standoff between then eeprom and the board, to prevent reading/writing over obd - so you may need to desolder to read the ECU. Personally, I would throw it into the car and see if it works!
I've always understood that APR ties there tune / ECU to the original car. I don't know how that could be bypassed, or if it can be bypassed, but I do know that DDillenger, Nyet, Turbo.. will know better than I.
BTW, I have recently learned, through experience and advise given by DDillenger and Nyet, that it's, at times, best to toss & trash these tunes, as they can be generic, cookie-cutter crap!
