Mocke: you should definitely stick to M

I don't think he needs to when his car is already running a 5120 551K file.
Which incidentally is what his car came with from the factory.

I was more referring to his tuning abilities, unless somebody is willing to do a LOT of work for him.

I was more referring to his abilities.

Let me see.
Options:
a) modify my 551K tune.
Or
b) take a 551M file, try to SOMEHOW make it work on an RS4, then retune from scratch?

Am I the only one who thinks a) is easier?

I had no idea Mocke was running your file. Generally, as a rule of thumb, we try to discourage others here from modifiying other's files, and advise them to start from scratch, for several reasons (I'm sure you already know these, I don't want to beat a dead horse).

a) ISN'T easier if you expect him to understand the reasoning behind each and every one of your changes..

Thank you Ddellinger. And thank everyone else for their input as well... I don't intend to use the maf scaling to lean out my A/F even thou reading thru my post it would appear as thou that was my plan. I am excited to be progressing and probably skipped writing the part where I'm going to tune my A/F to be suitable and then go to a bigger MAF. I know I'll likely have to retune them with it but I figure its good practice. I am disappointed in the general " I'm smart and your too dumb to be doing this" attitude I see thrown around here a lot. We all started somewhere eh? I figure that if I'm capable of doing my own ko4 install with timing belt, cam chains, and god know how many odds and ends I dealt with getting it put together then I'm competent enough to at least learn and build a tune. I wonder how many people are scared to ask questions because they get flamed every time someone who reads it decides " what a dumbass" and responds in a way that makes the op feel like they aren't capable. Now I understand that some of us truly aren't capable and that's fine too but who am I to decide that for them?

Tuning abilities? Mocke has Control, especially on the K-Box. He has helped me a lot. No one that I knew before could help me get my setup work and I certaintly couldn't do it good myself, well I got it running but not even Close to what it does now. Other "pro tuners" tried at first and they couldn't even get the freaking wg's to work always blaming my hardware.

The car is now moving really good and drives like a dream after Mockes help. I have also learned a lot from him, as I think these communitys are all about. But as it is now, i dont like asking questions on a forum in fear of just being bashed as an idiot.. We are all on different stages with the same enthusiasm for these cars.

Most of you guys has been helpful to me, also you nyet, so i am not yelling at anybody Smiley

Here's a list of maps I copied over from my previous m-box based bigish turbo file with a lot of success so far. Also included are some necessary maps for s4 throttle body. I'll post a "base bin" if there is interest.

Griff should have cam switch-over scheme for s4 cams on k-box as well.
