do i need no external power for this bdm100?

Most BDM clones come with an external power supply.

So can anyone experienced tell me about homogeneous mode, stratified mode, supposedly stratified mode was never fully implemented in mk5 2.0tfsi's(from what i hear).  There are timing maps for open and closed charge-movement flap/valve(flapper on intake manifold?). You can find the keyword LBK in the FDEF i posted regarding this.  I feel that what i read is very general, and there is a lot of info in regards to different control strategies and different coding's that are available for the platform.  What is used however, i do not know yet.

Any insight?

The US based (maryland) company selling the BDM sucks.  I ordered last Sunday, paid for premium shipping, and it hasn't arrived yet.

I got my Pogo pins the next day, from this guy:

did you get it working?
all BDM clones I see in ebay/china are selling it without Bosch plate but with Siemens, marelli etc.

That's because you just need a JTAG adapter.  I spent $20 making one, because I am a moron and didn't see they were only $14 premade.

Here is the one I made:

With the ECU's giant harness connector facing AWAY from you, pin 1 is on the LEFT of the JTAG pad.

that 0.1 inch(?) spacing of that ebay part is the right for Bosch?

Did you already get your assemble working?

Yes, and Jason and I both have "ebay BDM's" working fine.
