Anyone working on this project, can you make sure you post all .bin's you have(stock) so i can use for comparison.
so far....
2005 VAG 2.0tfsi 6MT has some map differences from my 06 GLI DSG, major differences, such as no kfmirls, where as the 6MT files have kfmirl and kfmirls.
I currently cap load at around 165...im missing something. May be dsg related? there may be some maps that limit load. I found some load related maps, but they appear to be sufficient for my current state of tune. So i am unsure of the issue at the moment except im missing something with the load calibrations.

What do you mean cap load? On your KFMIRL or on the charge limiter? It should start to be apparent that the entire torque mapping will have to be restructured at some point as the scaling of indicated torque % vs charge % can only be increased a little before requiring rescale.

Well i rescaled from 150 to 160 with no differences last night.
The cap i mean, is it will not request more than 165 at this point. Though its calibrated for a theoretical higher limit.
I will fully scale it up to around 200 and see what i get next time around.
Its funny how on this same basic setup on me7, it works a treat, maps are surprisingly similar in some respects.
keep on keeping on.....

Slightly OT, but the Golf 5 doesn't use stratified charge mode does it?

I don't think it uses lean homogeneous either as there is no NOx storage tank. So I don't think it ever runs leaner than lambda 1. This will make it a lot easier to tune, i'm guessing it'll be the returnless fuel system which will be the biggest change from ME7 tuning.

So what tools work well for BDM? I need to be able to do MED9.x ecu through BDM and I'm shopping for what tool to buy. I see a few of you have bought a clone and have it working well. What one and where did you get it? I have a MPPS clone and it doesn't seem to work at all.

For a good Stage 2 tune, you may need to mod anywhere from 50 to 100 maps

Can someone verify what is needed for the 12v external power supply, I got a clone bdm100 that did not come with one. Im assuming I need that in order to read/write the ECU in my 06 A3. I believe this is very similar to mkiv gti. Inside the ECU it had the 14 pad layout near the back, is it true that only 10 pins are needed?
