Hello, I have edited a bit in a file (ME7.5), and now ME7 Check won't check my file, it says that the file is not a valid ME7.x .bin dump.. What could be wrong? I have attached the file here, together with the original. The original checks fine, with no errors. Shocked

Oh I see, I did the editing through 010 editor, and for some reason the file is now ,02 kbyte smaller - as you mentioned. Any idea what could cause this to happen?

I fixed the problem, some bits had been moved a row, so it didn't match up  Roll Eyes Edit: it didn't fix the problem, but the size almost matches now 1.048.559 byte vs 1.048.576..

Whatever you did, you did NOT fix it, then.

I highly doubt your file is even remotely correct at this point.

What comes up: ME7Check: binary file xxxxx.bin has not correct length (is 0xfffef bytes long, 0x80000 or 0x100000 bytes expected)

Without being a total cockwomble, why are you adding NLS when you have 13 posts?  People should only be allowed access to that script that can upload decent logs first, which shows an understanding of what they're doing.

SOLVED: The problem was located at the bottom of the file, where there was missing the bottom row of empty (FF)'s. What a silly mistake *facepalm*

Well, I did this as an experiment, to gain more knowledge about the coding itself, seeing how it all connects  Wink Sorry if I took your time, but I guess I placed this post in the correct topic/page..
