I am looking for a tool to read and write data to my V10 and I dont want to buy the wrong tool. no TCU :( ..fortunately I have manual gear shifter but it would be convenient to have a tool for R-Tronic too maybe MAGPro2 X17 ??? Rich guy with V10 and lots of time willing to start DIY tuning? Just google mpps car list and you will find this: https://amtcartech.com/data/MPPS_Carlist.pdf Title: Re: R8 V10 MED9.1 525PS - read or flash with MPPS (original)?? Post by: prj on May 17, 2017, 06:24:20 AM Fastest way is solder BDM headers into ECU's probably.
Because flash time using protocol is 30-40 minutes. Title: Re: R8 V10 MED9.1 525PS - read or flash with MPPS (original)?? Post by: black on May 17, 2017, 11:28:23 PM What are we talking about here? No, guy wo did 10 years of S2/Rs2/Rs4/RS6/S4 tuning with OLS300 Emulator and did tons of VEMS/LINK 1/4mile tunes wants to get into new stuff. I know the carlist from AMD Cartech. I did my homework about google search. I'm only curious about some personal experience not about doing google search for me :). I this a crime? Companies always represent their product as the best - personal experience matters. Title: Re: R8 V10 MED9.1 525PS - read or flash with MPPS (original)?? No, 2010.... 2012+ would be MED17 Title: Re: R8 V10 MED9.1 525PS - read or flash with MPPS (original)?? Post by: aef on May 18, 2017, 01:43:03 AM Some guys are pretty quick with prejudices? hehe, sorry for that. but usually its like i said. Would recommend to buy fg technology galletto to flash by obd and bdm. btw: are you thomas from germany? Title: Re: R8 V10 MED9.1 525PS - read or flash with MPPS (original)?? Post by: IamwhoIam on May 18, 2017, 04:12:55 AM No, 2010.... 2012+ would be MED17 Wrong. all 420 (old) R8s have MED9 even up to 2015, but 2012+ ones can't be done through OBD with the conventional tools out there. Only 4S0 R8 has MED17. Title: Re: R8 V10 MED9.1 525PS - read or flash with MPPS (original)?? Post by: black on May 18, 2017, 04:13:09 AM hehe, sorry for that. but usually its like i said. I have flashed in the past with CMD and I remember it being longer than that. Maybe I am wrong.Title: Re: R8 V10 MED9.1 525PS - read or flash with MPPS (original)?? Post by: gt-innovation on May 18, 2017, 06:25:53 AM Depends on the version...Same goes with the rs4 4.2 round about 3x mins per ecu and some older r8s.

RS4 B7 MED9 NEVER flashes in 3 mins per ECU, EVER. unless your time is different than my time. not that I haven't flashed over 300 of either of those ECUs or anything, but hey, you never know. Normal flash time for those flashing 5 blocks into each ECU is around 8 minutes give or take. Title: Re: R8 V10 MED9.1 525PS - read or flash with MPPS (original)??
