Any issues to read or flash R8 V10 MED9.1 with MPPS (original) via OBD?.

Maybe somebody has done this with success??

Additional question - is it possible to read flash R8 R-Tronic TCU with mpps?

thanks

What year ? 2012+ have a unique RSA you ll get a no start after flash. No mpps cant do R-tronic.

I do not have mpps yet. I am looking for a tool to read and write data to my V10 and I dont want to buy the wrong tool.

no TCU  Sad    ..fortunately I have manual gear shifter but it would be convenient to have a tool for R-Tronic too

maybe MAGPro2 X17 Huh

What are we talking about here?
Rich guy with V10 and lots of time willing to start DIY tuning?

Just google mpps car list and you will find this: https://amtcartech.com/data/MPPS_Carlist.pdf

Fastest way is solder BDM headers into ECU's probably.
Because flash time using protocol is 30-40 minutes.

Some guys are pretty quick with prejudices?

No, guy wo did 10 years of S2/Rs2/Rs4/RS6/S4 tuning with OLS300 Emulator and did tons of VEMS/LINK 1/4mile tunes wants to get into new stuff.

I know the carlist from AMD Cartech. I did my homework about google search. I'm only curious about some personal experience not about doing google search for me  Smiley. I this a crime?

Companies always represent their product as the best - personal experience matters.

Wrong. all 420 (old) R8s have MED9 even up to 2015, but 2012+ ones can't be done through OBD with the conventional tools out there. Only 4S0 R8 has MED17.

WUT? CMD takes 8 minutes per ECU to flash!

I have flashed in the past with CMD and I remember it being longer than that. Maybe I am wrong.

Depends on the version...Same goes with the rs4 4.2 round about 3x mins per ecu and some older r8s.
