Recently was logging on my car to get my final tune and before i could get to far into revisions i ran into an issue with my cam CHAIN TENSIONER. I went to the junkyard and pulled one out of a 2.8 a4 from its bank 2 and installed in my car. Here is a graph of the bank 2 on my most recent log. What causes the tensioner to go bad or does it just shut off after a certain throttle point if it has a bad sensor? im curious as to what can cause this to happen

2.7 b5 s4, and for those who can't see it at 4700 the cam is reading about 23 kW and drops to 0 and reads -1 to -3 as I finish out the log

That's most likely when the cams switch over. Variable cam timing yo.

So can the tune be off on timing and it's going into limp mode or sounds like another shit sensor?
