Hi,

Brand new here and have a question about swapping my stock ECU for an APR tuned ECU in my 2003 Allroad. The allroad has an immobilizer so I can't simply just put the tuned one in like my old B5 A4.

So I loooked here on ross tech and found this:
http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.php/Immobilizer_III_Immobilizer_Swapping_%28Instrument_Cluster%29

This seems like what i need to do, but of course the million dollar question is the SKC. I don't have the SKC for the tuned ECU. But I have some software tools besides a vag com that I hope will pull the pin from my stock ECU so I can get the SKC from that and swap immobilizers.

So my first question is: Besides going to teh dealer, what software will pull my SKC? I have Vag commader and I have Vag Tacho.

Either way do I need the SKC from the Tuned ECU? Or am I going about this all the wrong way....

Or should I be using the ECU swapping process and pull the SKC from the tuned ECU.
Thanks in advance

Ive only gotten vagtacho 2.5 and 3.01 to work on <01.5 s4. Vag commander will work on the >01.5 so you may have some luck with it.

I need to swap stock ECU and tune S4 ECU between my TWO 2002 Audi Allroad.

The tuned (S4 basis) ECU can be swapped I assume (no immo problem), but the stock ECU won't work.

I assume I need to get the Immo 3 pin from the stock ECU. VAGcom wiki says I need the pin's from BOTH ECU (but the 'old' ECU is the S4 based tuned ECU).

1. How can I perform the swap?

2. To retrieve Immo 3 pins, it seems the VAG Commander is the right tool. What version will handle by 2002 Allroads?

3. Will this one work? If not, other link?

4. Both cars are stage 2 ready. I assume i could just flash the stock ECU with a 'non immo' stock, stage 1 or stage 2 file here from the forum? Only need the 'stock' ECU for a month or so.

As mentioned early in this thread, I need to swap ECU between 2 Allroads (2002, 6 spd).
One is a tuned S4 ECU flashed to 8D0 907 551 M (no immo issue, will work in other car), the other is a stock ECU.

Can I just pickup a stock S4 M box and put into the AR?

Or flash the stock ECU with stage 1 or 2 (both cars stage 2 ready) with a file here from the forum to get around the immo issue?

Just need to buy some time until my car is stage 3 ready (tune ECU already standing by).

Also: have 6 spd AR ECU with MTM tune; immo kicks in (car cranks and fires for one second, then dies). Anyway to make that work?
Could mail the ECU to someone who can get it to work (some $$ for the effort, naturally).

If you can't figure it out, LMK. I'd be willing to help.

Yes, you can just put an m-box in the AR, but the immo light on the dash will blink constantly (along with a chime when you start the car). In addition, you will have to remove one of the guide pins from the m-box ecu in order to plug it in.

Depends. My 01 at doesn't care about mbox and nothing blinks.

Julex:

Is it an actual m-box, or an allroad ecu flashed to an m-box?
