Would someone help please Sad

First thing first, I know it is a so noob question, but I really no way to deal with the SKC
and sorry for my poor english. Cheesy

Here is the story,
someday I blown my ECU, partially, still can drive.
Now I got a NEW (used) VIRGIN cluster ( 0km, willing to marry, no used IMMO and VIN stored )
and a used ECU 8E0 906 018 B , Bosch ME7.5

Let starts.

I follow the instruction written by imnuts & RossTech video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J5_51qeEyec&t=200s

When I came to scan for skc / login code

The status bar at the bottom shows

Connecting....
Connected...
Receiving...
Timeout when waiting for response.

I was totally turn into mad. Tried at least 50times, ingition on > read EEPROM > wait > Timeout..... then again > ignition on > read.....

no luck.

But...if I choose ( ... the wakeup pattern 11 ) in the dropdown menu instead of ( .... pattern 01 ),

it reads in a lighting speed !

The login code is 4067.

Then unplug the HEX+Can cable, plug in VCDS cable, start the VCDS 12.12.0

#17 Instrument -> Login - 11 > Key in the SKC: 04067

Nothing pops up after pressing enter

Should be something like this pops up if the login is success

I go on the process

Adaption > Channel 50 > key in the SKC > Test > Save > Ignition off > go for a beer
> ignition on > no VIN / IMMO value shown

Then tried to go pairing the key

No. cant ....

Frustrated

You have your blown ecu and a new cluster

or

a new ecu and a new cluster?

This is not clear when reading your post.

Did both cluster and ECU come from an Audi? They have different pairing issues and they have to match.

Yes they can be used again , but only to the same immo ( let's sat you SWAP the ecu but your cluster stays , or you SWAP the cluster and your ECU stays )

In your situation you need new chips , or copy eeprom from your blown ECU and write IT to the replacement ECU

I've got the same problem, picked up a 4B0907551T ecu from a 2001 tip A6 2.7t today and was going to flash an mbox file on it and put it in my 2.7t swapped B6 A4 but I figured I'd try and pull the SKC for fun since I have to read the 95040 then immo delete it, it won't connect to pull it, I get the same error as above minus the wakeup 11 showing me anything. This is using k commander and I get rx error in vag eeprom programmer, works fine for clusters and other ecus, just not this ecu.

Try VAG EEPROM programmer on bench, got the same issue sometimes with vag commander.
