I vaguely remember coming across that and wondering as well. Just wishing po had told me about the chip...
So about that bench flash setup, anyone got a link as to how to setup my bench kit using KKL? I have wires and power supply.

Yes. Also, why not just use the harness that's in the car? You don't need to build a bench flash harness. Put the battery on a charger, and bootmode it in the car.

The cable serial number should be entered as 47514789 with mprog on my cable correct? And if so, why cant i seem to get it to stick? always goes back to original numbers in serial number slot... Ive triedconnecting in bootmode to ecu on nefmoto flasher as well. no sign of life.

Nefmoto software isn't ready for bootmode yet. As for the serial number, you'll need to save/burn that to the cable through mprog. There was a thread made by Daz on doing exactly this, walks you through the whole process. Very easy. Sent from my SM-N900P using Tapatalk

Does not rely on boot mode, but will not flash bricked ECUs because bootmode support is not complete.

So, I can read and write the giac m box ecu but no starting the car. Gonna see what i can do. Probably nothing. The other newer ecu will not connect at all. Bench read on the giac only took 4 minutes. So my bench setup is working. I dont know if im getting the other ecu into boot mode. It seems unresponsive. Thinking im gonna get yet another ecu and try benching it from now on. In car was impossible for me for some reason. It reads the giac everytime as well so im thinking i wont have the writing failure that bricked me as long as im on the bench.

Ive been through all of that. Wasnt trying to use it for that either. Clearly stated itried using mprog to alter the cable sn already. It doesnt seem to change like i said.
