galletto work great in bootmode with kkl cable.
You just need to adapt serial # of the kkl cable with MProg3.5 to match the galletto serial.
If your FTDI chip can't be modified, just adapt the galletto.exe serial with hex editor software to match the cable.
http://nefariousmotorsports.com/forum/index.php?topic=3088.0Yes, unfortunately my dumb cable doesn't seem to have memory to store a serial number, I think. I can't program a serial to it and it doesn't display one. I tried the advice on page 4 of that thread to modify the program to ignore the serial of the cable it uses however I still can't connect in bootmode with this cable or the other 2 that I own (HEX+CAN and Vag Comm.) so I'm not sure if the 'serialless' edit of Galletto breaks the software like others (ddillenger) state below the introduction of that edit or if it's my cables since I've never had success with Galletto any way I've tried it.
I have had success with my 'dumb' cable communicating to the ECU in bootmode using ME7_95040 however so I can at least say that the issue isn't my ECU or my bench harness.
