How are you doing? I hope you are well, I have a friend with an a4 b6 1.8T BFB 163hp, before it was a CVT, now it has a 5 speed manual transmission, the ecu is 8e0909518BA, he has another spare 518AA, I would like to know if there is any stock file for manual gearbox compatible with these ECUs, I would appreciate it if anyone could give me information.

hey all

new here and in need of some help
iv got a ford galaxy thats pritty much vag under the shell
its running a 2.8 v5 24v.  i believe there similer if not the same as rhe r32s
im trying to get a read of my ecu without any luck
iv tryed kess and mpps and managed to i'd my ecu at least
h/w  0261206819   s/w  1037360634 vw s/w 022906032q 0011
iv got a kkl cable witch i believe is the ftdi chipset
iv heard a few horror stories about how easy these can brick so im in real need of a stock file just in case
is it right that the only way to get a read is by opening the ecu for the boot pin
i heard that once its been mapped it should be ok to then read via odb

again this is info iv been told and rad so i dont know myself for certen and hessitent to proceed
please can anyone help point me in the right direction and possibly a stock file to recover from
thanks  much appreciated

Eeprom patch only will not work.
To switch off immo on ecu ME7.1.1 based on ST10F processor.
you must patch internal firmware of ST10F mcu.
Not to be confused with firmware in external flash!!!

I have always and only removed immo from EEPROM and fixed cksum afterwards on ME7.1.1 ST10f27x . As far as Vag goes Eeprom is only needed. Not sure how you invented that Method Smiley . There are Guides all over this forum explaining the Structure of eeprom on ME7 ecus with pointers to almost everything.

First time I hear such nonsense, ALL VAG ME7.x can have immo disabled in EEPROM alone without anything extra needed ever.

hello.

The car is a original golf mk3 vr6 and swap a r32 bub engine of golf mk5 with the ecu 022906032 kf.

The ecu have a "inmo off " of the last owner but the car crank but no start, not injector works.

Wiring and engine is good , the car start with a golf mk4 v6 ecu inmo off.

This is the eprom read.

thanks!

immo off

So tried second immo off tool and it is better - Now the car starts and could be recoded for manual transmission.

However it is again like before - 5523 - Engine Start Blocked by Immobilizer in ECU, and also error in 05-Acc/Start Auth. for Immo data not adapted in ECU.
Also SAFE over daily mileage counter on dashboard.
As I understand from gt-innovation post above - I should "kill" error class for the error in ECU, how I can block CAN message to dashboard, not to sure I can do this.

Also it is not possible to read ECU by Kess V2 that my friend have.
Right now I'm thinking - is it possible to read/write ECU trough OBD if Immo is defeated, not adapted?

No, you do not kill the DTC. You need to tell the siaError function that there is no error. But as i said before and as prj indicated there is also alternative methods but you just need to study the code a bit more. I stopped when it worked for my needs.

thanks for fast reply.
I¨ve another timing question.
Why use negative values at low rpm, hi load?
Does it really matter if its 0 or -10?

To answer that question the car needs to be put on a dyno in steady state and go WOT and hold it at the fixed RPM and see if the engine ever hits those load cells.
It can be that it does not and they are simply extrapolated from the data that is there.
It can also be that it does and there is knock.

You are going down a very bad path. Playing excel spreadsheet with ECU file.
It's not a computer game, there's an engine working there, and you must understand how the engine works first. Not blindly stare at the numbers.

If you know how the engine works then the answer to your questions is completely trivial. I recommend reading a few good books about the basics of combustion and engine management to give you a base to work from instead of playing excel guessing games Wink
