Just wanted to say I too joined the premium train a little bit ago. If someone is thinking about it, just do it

I think currently 15 people have bought a premium license, and I haven't received one complaint. I assume this means everyone is happy.

i have a genuine rosstech hex+can+usb, says its not supported, it that true? If so guess i have to get an el cheapo cable.
The ross-tech "KEY" cables aren't supported, but the other ross-tech cables are. The "KEY" cables don't support proper pass through mode and only really work well when using the custom ross-tech cable protocol. Oh dear, I'm in the same boat then. I thought they were o.k. in dumb mode. I was really looking forward to the XP version, but there's no point me even sampling it with a Revo tune that I can't read and a genuine Ross-Tech interface that isn't supported. TTQS

The only "dumb" mode RT key cable that worked for me was the old serial db9 one ... and sadly, that one is going back to ross-tech for upgrade to usb-can. Fortunately, ebay vagcom cables that DO work are cheap

I use a genuine ross-tech hex-can-usb cable. As far as I know it is only the genuine ross-tech key-usb cables that don't work properly.

I may have just read over it but do the premium features transfer over when the software is updated?

You're given a small registration file that is associated with your specific cable. If you uninstall and reinstall the software, you just select "import license" from the license menu in the software and find your file. Super easy.

The license file is tied to the specific USB cable. As long as you still have the USB cable, you still have the license.

Some tuners disable reading the ECU flash memory by disabling support for the UploadFromECU KWP2000 message. If you attempt to read the flash memory, and the log file says something like "ECU reports UploadFromECU is not supported, it may have been disabled", then you can't read the flash. You can read the flash memory if you read it in bootmode. I will eventually add premium support for bypassing tuner protected when reading flash memory.

Just jumped on this (finally). I'm not in a position to use it at the moment, but I thought at the very least Tony deserved my $50. In a months time I really hope to be pulling my project into my very own garage , so hopefully this will come to good use (and even if nothing pans out with the house/garage, Tony still deserves it.)

Hi Tony, Glad to see this forum is back up and running again. I've sent you an email for premium license to ' sales@nefariousmotorsports.com' but had no response. Have you received? Thanks
